Ireland End to End Day 5: The halfway point

303 miles completed, 285 miles to go and it has been sun, sun,sun as we cycle the length of Ireland. Today was especially stunning as we cycled around the Galway peninsula, through the Connemara Greenway before reaching the bustling town of Clifden

We have a great mix of people on the trip. Couples, brother and sister, father and son. People from Denmark, Canada and New Zealand plus England, Wales, Scotland and the home country of Ireland. Mark and Wendy who support us with our endeavours, live for much of the year in Spain. Every day we have Brew breaks in the morning and afternoon plus a lunch break at a pub / cafe. Another opportunity for a photo shot for our Kiwi friend

Close to the finish of our cycle, we stopped at a wonderful sandy beach. It could have been the Caribbean, although the water was a tad cooler but this didn't stop many of the group taking a dip

And it was smiles all round for some well deserved refreshments in our hotel at the end of a great day
