Day 3: Coastal wonders and tranquil relaxation

Join us as we recount an unforgettable day cycling through southern Ireland, embracing stunning coastal vistas and finding perfect relaxation after a challenging ride.

Flatter paths and stunning views

Day 3 brought a welcome change of pace with a much flatter terrain, allowing us to truly savour the breathtaking coastal views of southern Ireland. While we covered a few more miles than yesterday, the easier gradient made for a more enjoyable ride, immersing us in the natural beauty surrounding us.

From Kerry to Clare, hugging the coast

Our journey on Day 3 saw us cycling to Kerry, where we then took a scenic ferry ride across to Clare. From there, we hugged the stunning coastline, each turn revealing new vistas. Our destination for the day was Lahinch, a town famous for its surfing, offering a vibrant atmosphere and a promise of relaxation.

Relaxation at the Falls Hotel and Spa

After 68 miles in the saddle, arriving at the Falls Hotel and Spa was a truly welcome sight. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the wonderful outdoor hot tub. It was the perfect antidote for aching muscles, providing a luxurious and relaxing end to one of the most spectacular days of our tour.
